I loved Jamie, although Metatron is 'way up there on my list, too. And the Sheriff of Nottingham from "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves." Sigh .... so many Rickman roles, so little time to eat
bon-bons and just listen to that voice!
he really seems to dissapear into his roles- and I mean that in a good way. Some actors, say Clooney, you never forget that you are watching Clooney. But Alan is one of those guys that has
been in tons of movies, but it takes you a minute to figure out that it is the same guy.
I picked Snape because the Sheriff of Nottingham wasn't on the list, but I love him in both. After Christopher Walken, I'd say Alan Rickman is the scariest bad guy ever.
Whiplash - is there an HP area on teamsugar? I'm an HP freak, too - to the point that I sit around and think up theories on backstories and motivations for the characters. I am SUCH a geek!
Colorme - if you get a chance, rent "Truly, Madly, Deeply" and watch it. It will change your mind about thinking he's scary! It's a great movie - but definitely a chick flick.
I liked him in Dogma and Harry Potter. I really didn't like his character in Love Actually, but I also liked him in that. I like that he comes across as being very dry and witty. I haven't
seen Robin Hood, being from Notingham myself, little details bug me.
Look. That man is brilliant and amazingly sexy. Period. I'm not even sure what it is about him in particular that is so sexy--but every woman I know thinks that he is! He has the "it" the
allure...the VOICE. Yummmm! I've loved him in every role he's ever done, but I have to say that NO ONE could have done the character Snape the justice that he has. He makes the whole movie
series for me, and when I read the books, I picture him as Snape.
I also LOVED him in Sense and Sensibility. In Prince of Thieves--I was rooting for him to kill Costner and take Maid Marianne! Cancel Christmas!!
Alan Rickman is incredible in absolutely everything he's in. I loved Truly, Madly, Deeply and Sense and Sensibility. My daughter loves the HP movies so I get to enjoy Alan all the time as we
own all the Harry dvds.

1Hes the evil teacher?? the one that teaches the Slitherin school??
2Yep, he's the "baddie." Except we're not certain that he's going to end up being the baddie, after all. **(waiting with bated breath for book 7)**
3Yes, I agree, he is one of the most flexible character actors out here. He deserves to be honored
4Ah...."character actor." You're breaking my heart!
I delude myself with the "leading man" thoughts...
5I was thinking about Robin Hood too Victoria! I love him in that!
Believe in Magic!
6I love Alan Rickman in EVERYTHING, but I picked Snape because I'm a HP freak.

He is great in everything, but Galaxy Quest and Dogma he was sooo funny.
Him and Emma Thompson were great together in Judas Kiss

14Rickman's awesome in everything...I liked him as Sinclair in "Close My Eyes".
